4 Killer Ideas For Friday The 13th To Quench Your Halloween Cravings
Friday the 13th is just around the corner like a lurking villain, so how will you celebrate? In 2021, Friday the 13th happens only once so be sure to make the most of this superstitious day. If you’re not sure what to do for Friday the 13th, we have some fun suggestions for you.
1. Friday the 13th movie marathon.
Get the popcorn, some mates (virtually or in person) and pop on the films. And if you’re a scaredy cat like us don’t forget your safety blanket to wrap yourself in. Starting with the original Friday the 13th film from 1980, make your way through the list of slasher films in the series.

2. Camp out in the backyard.
You probably won’t fit in all 12 films in one night (no, that’s not a challenge). Why not make it a weekend-long event and have a fun camp out in the backyard with your friends while you watch the films or tell spooky stories? Tip: Ask a friend to falsely RSVP, secretly turn up late in the night and give everyone a scare.

3. Dress up and play games.
Invite your friends over (or plan a zoom call) and have everyone dress up and host a murder mystery party. Create your own Camp Crystal Lake-inspired game and dress up in Friday the 13th costumes or buy any themed ready-to-play game and matching costumes to have a killer time.
4. Themed decorations and food.
Create a Friday the 13th look at home or at your office to get into the superstitious spirit. Grab dark forest scene setters, some Jason Voorhees cutouts, dim the lights and provide a themed smorgasbord. Try this movie menu by D. Goodman at Guilty Treats or these themed cupcakes by Robin Gagnon on Mom Foodie.

You can choose to do all of these activities combined or separately, or maybe we’ve inspired you to come up with your own ways to celebrate. We’d love to see what you come up with so don’t forget to tag us in your posts: @costumebox
