Congratulations to our Halloween House 2022 WINNER Gary & Jenny Hilson from Bendigo!
With a passion for Halloween and horror, Gary started building his own haunted houses out of cardboard as a child. He built his first big Halloween display at his son's house 5 years ago and was asked to take it down by the Council because it was scaring the children! Of course, he didn't take it down 😉
Gary, Jenny & family started building their own haunted houses again in the last couple of years to amuse local kids during Covid, and they do try to keep a good part of it kid friendly with some less spooky sections and games for the littlies. This year they added a haunted forest among the many scenes that visitors can move through. The Hilson family just loves sharing their passion for Halloween with their community, and judging by the number of visitors they receive each year, their community loves it too!
Garry & Jenny received the winning price of $10,000 and an amazing handmade trophy created by our Digital Content Manager, Vanessa.

We were absolutely blown away by the creativity in the entries rain, hail or shine.
